    Holy Spirit power

    August 10, 2019

How did Dorothy escape from the land of Oz? She received power to do so at the start of her journey.

We may struggle to get back into right relationship with God. Maybe the enemy has put stumbling blocks in our path. Or perhaps our flesh has an insatiable desire that's hard to control. That's where the Holy Spirit comes in.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our savior we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This all-powerful Spirit dwells in the hearts of all believers and empowers us to live righteous and holy lives.

We may pray and search for the way back to holiness when it's been residing in us all along. The scriptures are plentiful describing the role of the Holy Spirit. A quick glance at a bible concordance can locate these verses.

The Holy Spirit is far more powerful than any temptation the world may flaunt in our faces. When we acknowledge His presence and pray for His empowerment to walk a righteous and holy path the Holy Spirit will help us.

Like Dorothy, we'll discover we possess the power and authority to get back home.

    Love and blessings,

    Rich H.

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." John 14: 16-17

"Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." 1 John 4: 4
