    Drift

It starts like a creep. You may not notice. It is subtle, like turning the radio to a secular station instead of a Christian one. Maybe like me, you’ve begun watching Youtube clips about rock and roll legends. Or perhaps you’ve increasingly indulged in gossip. Maybe you’ve even drifted back into pornography.

God is so subtle. He won’t call you back. He’ll wait for you to notice the changes taking place. You might recall a time when you felt closer to God. Maybe you’ve let the f-bomb slip back into your vocabulary or you’re getting increasingly outraged about the political scene or that brother or sister who seems so unloving.

If you ask God he will tell you as he did David which five stones to pick up out of the brook. No more secular music, less watching the news, less internet, more bible, more prayer time.

We are like the man walking his two dogs in the park every day. One dog is white, the other black. One day a passerby asks the man which dog is stronger, to which he replies, “the one I feed more.”

Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2: 18.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6: 7-8

All God’s grace is with us if we will only obey him. Lance Lambert.

    Love and blessings,

    Rich H.
