Love letter

Remember how it feels when your loved ones appreciate you? That’s how our heavenly father feels when we love and appreciate him.

We draw closer to God by loving him. It’s not up to him, he never moves. He is always right there, only a breath away. When we walk through our daily lives being appreciative of him and constantly acknowledging his presence we begin to sense and feel his presence coming closer.

As we draw closer to him he will draw closer to us. We can appreciate him in every aspect of our daily lives. He protects us while we are driving, provides for us when we are in financial need and heals our spiritual, emotional and physical wounds.

Try making a list of all the things you are grateful to God for providing. Shoot for at least 40 items you can think of that he does for you. It is like writing a love letter to God. See how you feel as you review the items in your mind. You will begin to feel God drawing closer. He is a father who loves his grateful children.

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29: 12-13

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4: 8

Love and blessings,
