The Christmas gift

Are we still thinking about Christmas? Yes, of course, and many

things associated with that day.

But what are we really thinking about? Deep down we are pondering the life of Jesus who died for us. We are worshiping Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

He came as the humble and insignificant one to serve and then to die. And the paradox of his humility and insignificance carried forward by the twelve disciples blossomed into the greatest revolution the world has ever known. It transformed the universe and introduced us to the kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ made it possible for us to come into relationship with God. That is perhaps his greatest gift.

This gift of relationship keeps expanding across the globe. People who willingly receive this gift of relationship are transformed and become the loved and cared for children of God.

How about that? Once we accept Jesus as our Savior and King we are known as children of God. That is miraculous!

We walk in the shelter and protection of the Lord of the universe when we invite Jesus Christ into our hearts. This is the true Christmas gift.

He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.Isaiah 53: 2

He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Isaiah 53: 3

Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins. Isaiah 53:4

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Love and blessings,
